Family Center

Family Mediation
Short-term crisis intervention for youth and families experiencing conflict at home.


Family Solutions

The program helps youth and families struggling with problems such as; Drug and / or alcohol use, Chronic truancy, Violence towards self or others, Gang involvement / affiliation, Violating curfew, Disruptive behaviors in the home or school. Download brochure.  View support group info.



Family Ties

Case management, advocacy and counseling for families whose children are at risk of foster care placement. Download brochure.  View support group info.



HCBS-Home and Community Based Services

HCBS serves children with a Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) to decrease the need for long term placement in institutional levels of care, including RTF's, and psychiatric hospitalizations.

Hicksville Counseling and Resource Center

A home for emotionally disturbed boys ages 13 to 18.

The Youth Advisory Council is an essential part of the Village of Hempstead Initiative. Family and Children’s facilitates an opportunity for youth to serve as decision-makers, impact the Village positively, and broaden their perspective of the world

Vocational Education
An educational program enabling young people and adults to secure high school diplomas or GEDs.


YouthBuild
The YouthBuild Program provides opportunities for unemployed and undereducated young adults, ages 18 to 24, to become employable and achieve self-sufficiency though education, construction training and job training. Program is located in Deer Park.
